As a contractor, managed process to develop case studies/client stories, including working with outside creative vendors and liaising with internal .com site teams, including work on copywriting and editing. On contract with global medical device manufacturing firm, Terumo BCT (then Caridian BCT acquired by Terumo, headquartered in Japan), managed internal communications for global transition. Developed and implemented internal communications for company's global employees, as well as with the organization's diverse partnerships and alliances, such as American Red Cross.
As senior manager for Kleimann Communication Group, a U.S. government contractor, led cross-level matrixed teams for the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to develop employee communications for testing forms and letters. Facilitated one-on-one cognitive interviews and focus groups, as well as large-scale quantitative testing to demonstrate whether documents were achieving their targeted outcomes.
Led high-visibility projects for writing and production of employee guides such as "Guide to Conducting Form and Notice testing," a structured approach to testing that included a task list, step-by-step instructions, testing calendars, and references. Another guide provided IRS employees with procedures for measuring the effectiveness of their forms and notices.
Ent Credit Union (one of top 25 credit unions in the U.S.), was in rapid growth mode, acquiring multiple smaller credit unions. As marketing director, led a high-functioning to develop highly praised internal communication for both Ent employees and employees of the credit unions being acquired.
Additionally,launched a comprehensive "reward program," primarily for front-line staff, in which employees received points for good service and for meeting the organization's loan and investment goals. Led development of internal portal for employees to track progress and created meeting presentations, as well as informational video snippets. With 42 locations, internal communication critical for keeping employees connected who are not co-located.
